Design
The H.O.R.U.S. sails were designed with the new design software, ensuring that the shape and panels in every sail are exactly how they should be. 


Construction

• The same sail cloth used by the past four world champions
• A radial patch at the clew for the best shape
• A large vision window to see other racers
• New Ullman styling:  Red stitching on starboard and blue stitching on port
• Two different battens – one stiffer than the other to hold the fastest shape

The Name
The eye of Horus "The Falcon King" is considered an important Egyptian symbol of power.  During the Egyptian period, this symbol was worn as a charm and had magical powers.  

Recorded in Egyptian hieroglyphs, the symbol “Horus” is a falcon and probably means “the one who is above” or “the one which is far away.” The story of Horus goes back to prehistoric times where Horus appeared on the Kings list of the Turin papyrus as the ancestor to the legendary kings who ruled Egypt after the Kingdom ofHeaven. The sacred symbol of the falconalso appeared on the famous Narmer Pallet, a temple object dating back to aboutthe 31 century BC, and has since beencontinuously associated with the Pharaohs.
