OCTANE WINDSTOPPER® FABRIC TECHNOLOGY

Stretchy, durable and highly breathable gear is designed for maximum comfort to enhance performance during highly active dinghy races. Bi Component Construction with high-stretch panels maximize ergonomic performance. GORE-TEX® Windstopper three-layer fabric is completely windproof and offers outstanding breathability and water-resistance.  

WINDSTOPPER® products combine absolute wind protection with outstanding breathability.  The WINDSTOPPER® membrane is an ultra protective layer which is laminated to a lightweight textile layer, making it totally windproof. 


Made from the versatile polymer PTFE (polytetrafluorethylene) which is expanded to create a microporous structure. These micropores are 900 times larger than water vapour molecules, allowing perspiration to pass through unhindered. This means that the Windstopper® membrane adds total windproofness to any textile without perceivably restricting its initial breathability or weight.
